Biography

John Urquhart was born in 1739. He was the son of John Urquhart of Monteagle.

John was minister of Fearn.

He married Catherine Houston on the 2nd of January 1779.

They had three sons and five daughters:

1. John, d 1821, unmarried.
2. Charles Farquharson, d 1856, unmarried.
3. George Roderick, d 1825, unmarried.
4. Janet, d 1816. London.
5. unk daughter.
6. unk daughter.
7. Catherine, d 1804.
8. Sophia Alexandrina, b 1793, d 1810.

He passed away at Fearn in 1800.
