Biography

Edward was born and baptised^[1] at Whitby, Yorkshire in 1646. He was the son of Edward Valance. Edward was married to Jane Causton in 1671 at Whitby^[2] and they had at least seven children there, four daughters plus three sons, with one girl dying in infancy. Edward died at Whitby in 1702 and was buried there^[3]. His wife Jane would marry again the following year.
