Dorothy (Dolly) Van Winkle was born, likely in Mamakating, Ulster County (now Sullivan County), New York, in about 1796.[2] She was the daughter of Moses Van Winkle and Elizabeth Tyler.[2]
Dolly married William Butler in Muskingum County, Ohio, 13 Oct 1814.[3]
Dorothy's precise date of death isn't established, but she definitely passed after 19 Jun 1860, as on that day she resided with her husband, William, in Cass Township, Muskingum County.[4]
