On July 17, 1747, Henry Vandersal was born, probably in Germany.[1] In Pennsylvania he married Elizabeth Schilling (1769) and had their first four children.
Around 1779 Henry moved to Schaefferstown (now in Lebanon County, PA), then to Lebanon Township, where they rented housing.[2][3]
In 1783 Henry rented property in Londonderry Township (Lebanon County), and bought land there in 1785.[4]
