Biography

Bartola Cunsula di Venetia was baptized at San Michele parish, Sciacca, Provincia di Girgenti, Kingdom of Sicily, 24 August 1596, daughter of Pietro Venezia and Nunzia [Galizia]; her sponsors were Calogero Crapiato and Angelica di Xacca.[1] [blank] Coniux Mag.ri Antonini Marsala died in her home and was buried on the grounds of San Giovanni Tridente, Sciacca, 2 7bre (September) 1631, no age given: "Coniux Mag.ri Antonini Marsala reforma die in domo."[2]

Bartolomea Venezia married at Sciacca, 19 July 1621 (marriage contract, Notaio Giovanni Battista Mineo), Antonino Marsala.[3] Bartola Venetia, daughter of Pietro Venezia and Nunzia [Galizia], married at Sciacca (Quartiere San Michele), 5 8bre (October) 1609, by Reverendo Sacerdote Don Antonino Benfatto Capp.ni, Ant.ni di Marsala, son of Giacomo Marsala. The witnesses were Federico Perolla and Don Francesco Luchese.[4]

Anton.o Franc.o di Marsala[5] was baptized at Matrice parish, 14 August 1586, son of M.ro Giacomo Marsala and Giovanna [---]; his sponsors were Francesco Vigletto and Antonina la Presti.[6] Antonius Marsella was buried on the grounds of San Francesco de Paola Church, Sciacca, 16 February 1641, aged 63 [sic]: "Antonius Marsella annora 63."[7]

  6. Nunzia Giovanna Marsala, b. "hodie," 22 Aug. 1631; bap. 22 Aug. 1631; sponsors were M.ro Bartolomeo Lauricella and Francesca di Trapani.
