Biography

Barbara Vollmer was born on 26 June 1847 in Grossliebental, Odessa Russia, and was baptized 29 Jun 1847. NOTE; Find a Grave shows birth to be 1849.

Barbara is the daughter of Christian Vollmer and Friedricke Demmer.

She married Jacob Huber 13 Jan 1868 at Grossliebental, Odessa, Russia.

The Greenwood Cemetery Association reports that German immigrant Barbara Huber died in Hamilton, seat of Butler County, Ohio, at the age of forty-two on September 30, 1891, and was interred there on October 2, 1891, at Greenwood Cemetery in Section H, Lot R-5, grave 91, "original Interment #8381, owner: Huber, Barbara". The fact that Barbara Huber died at age 42 on Sept. 30, 1891, suggests that 1849 could be the year of her birth, while recognizing that she is not likely to have been born before October 1, 1848, or after September 30, 1849.
