He immigrated to the Swan River colony with his parents and siblings on the Wanstead arriving 30/1/1830. His age was listed as 6 and his middle name was Nicholls.
Prior to November 1844 he is a partner in the business Walcott, Bidart & Co and A Bidart withdrew at this time. It was located at Bindoras.
In January 1846 a partnership between him, James Walcott and Edward Lennard was dissolved with regards to Mr Lennard.
In 1859 he married Harriett Ridley in Moore River presumably the sister of his sister's husband.
In 1861 he was Postmaster in the Irwin district.
by 1867 he was a teacher on Rottnest Island.
His obituary has his age at death as 73 and says he arrived in the colony at the age of seven. He was married but left no children.
He was buried in Fremantle Cemetery.
