He met his loving wife, June Bigelow, and they were married in 1947. They were married for 55 years. The love that they shared was an inspiration to their family and friends. They were devoted to each other and were an example of what true love and marriage stand for. In 1997, they renewed their vows at their 50th wedding anniversary in the presence of their family and loved ones. He was employed at the Niagara Mill for nine years. He and his wife owned and operated the Log Cabin Bar in Aurora, Wis. (known as the Hitch N Post in 2003) for 20 years. He worked at Clairmont Transfer for 20 years, retiring in 1980. Butch enjoyed his retirement and spent his leisure time woodworking, making picture clocks, and various crafts. Butch and June especially enjoyed going dancing together. He sang karaoke with his family, dedicating songs to his adoring wife. He also went golfing with friends and his "favorite" son-in-law, Tom. At death time, Butch was survived by his wife, June; three daughters, Penny George (Steve Plouff) of Little Suamico, Wis.; Cindy Murray of San Anselmo, Calif., Lee Ann (Thomas) Frydrych of Homestead, Wis.; six grandchildren, Jay (Lori) Glime, Lance (Sue) Glime, Travis (Kari) Glime, Shyla Capehart, Sheena Frydrych, Brandon Murray; 11 great-grandchildren, Jule, Jordan and Jessica Glime, Bryan and Joe Glime, Jacob, Katie, and Madalyn Glime, and Damon, Skyla, and Layne Capehart; a sister, Helen Johnson of Kingsford; a sister-in-law, Beth Wallner of Kingsford and several nieces and nephews. Throughout his illness his loving wife, whom he called his "angel," doted on him. She was always by his side with a cheerful smile and a loving heart. He was a wonderful father who was adored by his daughters. He was always there for them through their most difficult times to lend a hand, his loving support, and words of wisdom, advice and support. He was a great man. [1]
