Biography

John was born in 1849. He passed away in 1948.[1]

On January 1, 1875 at Howick in Huron County, Ontario, John Warren, 21, married Mary Jane Kerr, 20. John was born about 1854 at Wallace to Joseph and Sarah A Warren. Mary Jane was born about 1855 at Cartright to Joseph and Mary Kerr. Witnesses were George Kerr of Howick and Elijah Warren of Wallace.[2]

In 1900, John and Mary J Warren were farming at Pickford in Chippewa County, Michigan. Census indicates John and Mary were married for 24 years and that Mary had borne 7 children, all of whom were still living. According to Census John, Mary and their eldest two children immigrated about 1880. All seven children were living on the farm at the time of the Census.[3]

In 1906 John and Mary Jane were farming near Wilcox, Saskatchewan. Still living at home was youngest son, Edmond. Listed as neighbors on the same Census was Jame A and Leola Warren.[4]
