Ted Klapperich first hand witness.
As per his obit he died in a helicopter crash. The story we were told at the time was that the crash occurred in the Hayton Marsh. Charlie being an avid hunter always had a keen interest in the Hayton Marsh and I can believe that he would not pass up the opportunity to do a flyover of the Marsh.

My best memories of Uncle Charlie are the fall evenings when he would show up after dark with his best coon hunting dog, Bell. We would run coon for hours. I would have a hard time getting up for school the next morning. But those are priceless memories spent with my favorite uncle.
