My Great Grandfather Father Meeks came from England to this country when a young man and shortly afterwards married Miss Mollie West, daughter of John West of Hanover County, Virginia, who was an independently wealthy farmer, where he raised a family of seven children, my Grandfather William Meeks being the youngest of the family.
