Biography

E. C. was born about 1821 in Tennessee.

He married his first wife, Eliza Tatum, in 1841 in Wilson County, Tennessee.^[1] Their children were Robert,^{[citation needed]} William,^{[citation needed]} Miles, Martha, Cephus, and John.^[2]

He served on the side of the Confederacy during the American Civil War as a 3rd Sergeant with the Co E of the 10th Arkansas Infantry.

He married Catherine Darden nee Pendleton in 1878.^[3][4][5]

He died in 1904. He is buried at Mortar Creek Cemetery in Faulkner County, Arkansas.^[6]
