Theodore Frelinghausen Wingo was born on June 22, 1850, in Gibson County, Tennessee, to Tazwell Friend Wingo and Sarah Ann (Blankenship) Wingo. Growing up in District 14 of Gibson County, young Theodore lived near the Sun Point post office in 1860 and later near the Lin Point post office in 1870.
In 1871, Theodore married Polina Elizabeth Jane Johnson in Weakley County, Tennessee. Throughout his life, Theodore worked diligently as a carpenter, honing his skills and contributing to various communities.
By 1880, Theodore and his family resided in District 4 of Carroll County, Tennessee, where he continued his carpentry work. His dedication to his craft persisted over the years, evident as he worked as a carpenter in Civil District 2 of Weakley County in 1900 and later in Martin, another area of Weakley County, in 1910.
Theodore's commitment to his profession remained steadfast into his later years. By 1920, he was still residing in Weakley County, specifically in Marin. However, Theodore's journey came to an end on May 27, 1926, when he passed away from nephritis in Martin, Weakley County, Tennessee.
After his passing, Theodore Frelinghausen Wingo was laid to rest at Mount Olive Cemetery in McKenzie, Carroll County, Tennessee, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, dedication, and contribution to his community as a skilled carpenter.
