Biography

Urban, 93, Osgood, died at Mercer Health Hospital.

He was the son of Robert and Kathryn (Bergman) Winner. On May 3, 1950, he married Mary Kathryn Aselage, who preceded him in death. On Jun 11. 1982, he married Constance (Liette) Monnin, who survives in Greenville.

Also surviving are seven children: Sharon (William) Wynk, Coldwater, Stacy (Steven) Mollmann, Upper Arlington, Julie (Jim) Poeppelman and Jenni (Bob) Paulus, both Versailles, Matt (Darlene) Monnin, Russia, Amy (Gary) Moeller, New Bremen, and Anne (Tim) Carlisle, New Carlisle: a son-in-law, Robert Leugers, New Bremen; two brothers: Ton (Henrietta) and Kenny (Beverly) Winner, both Osgood; a sister, Karen (Ronald) Schwieterman, Celina; a sister-in-law, Elsie Winner, Osgood; four in-laws: Madonna Liette, North Star, Ralph (Ella Mae) Liette, Chickasaw, Judy (John) Knight, VA, Bob (Enda) Stout, Coldwater; and twenty-three grandchildren and twenty-eight great-grandchildren.

Deceased are a daughter, four brothers and a sister, all linked below; and six in-laws: Ruth and Charles Heistand, Norma and Art Rammel, Dolores Redinbaugh, Helen Stout, Lowell Liette, Charles and Suzanne Gilliland.

A member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Osgood, Osgood Fire Department and Mercer County Elks, he was a Veteran of the US Army during WWII and member of the Osgood American Legion Post #588 and past Commander. He was a partner of the family business, Robert Winner, Sons for 40 plus years. Throughout his life, he loved all sports, especially the Cincinnati Reds, Bengals and the Marion Local Flyers and he was a teaser.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Osgood, with Rev. David Howard officiating. Burial will take place at St. Martin Cemetery with full military honors.
