Biography

Caleb was a Friend (Quaker) Perquimans Monthly Meeting

Caleb was born on 12 December 1749 in Perquimans, North Carolina, United States. He was the son of Timothy Winslow and Rachel (Wilson) Williams. [1]

In 1790 Caleb (age about 40) was living in Perquimans, North Carolina. [1]

In the 1790 census Caleb (age 40) was living in Perquimans, North Carolina. He was the head of a family of seven. He also held seven slaves.[2]

Caleb Winslow married Jemima Cannon on 1 April 1797 in Perquimans, North Carolina.[3]

On June 8, 1797, Caleb Winslow received a patent for 100 acres in Perquimans County.[4]

When Caleb was 56 he married on 29 January 1806 in Perquimans, North Carolina. [5]

On March 12, 1809, Caleb Winslow petitioned to relinquish eleven slaves into the possession of the Society of Friends (Quakers).[6]

In the 1810 census Caleb (age 60) was living in Perquimans, North Carolina. He was head of a family of six. Nineteen free persons of color were also in residence.[7]

Caleb died at the age of 61 on 25 March 1811 in Perquimans County North Carolina. [1][5]
