Maciej Zamiara was born on 27 January 1803 in Szemborowo, Poland, then Szemborowo, Kreis Wreschen, Posen, Prussia. He was the son of Wojciech Zamiara and Regina Jaloszynska.
He married Jozefa Kozielska.
He had an alias surname of Iglinski, which he used through adulthood.
He passed away on 10 September 1867 in Szemborowo.
Maciej started using the surname Iglinski around the 1810s, along with several other Zamiaras, including his father Wojciech and uncle Antoni.
There are a few reasons why the Zamiara family of Szemborowo may have started using the Iglinski surname, one of which would be for land inheritance or estate purposes. It's possible his paternal grandmother was an Iglinska. Otherwise they may have started using the surname to describe a family occupation, as "igla" can mean stylus or spire, perhaps something with writing or helping with the upkeep of a church tower. It's worth noting that not all Zamiaras became Iglinskis, as some remained Zamiara.
