Biography
When Adah was 18, she had a daughter named Fern on 17 Jan 1896. The father of this child is unknown.
Adah married Stephen Ross Haines on Jan 20, 1900 in Union County, OH. He was 25 at the time, and she 21.
Per the 1900 Census, Adah lived with her husband as boarders in Allegany, Maryland in June of 1900. There is no mention of a child of Adah's being present.
On Aug 15 ,1904 when Adah was just 26 years old, she died. The informant on her death certificate was her husband S. R. Haines. She is buried at Maple Grove Cemetery, in North Lewisburg, OH.
- Adah had contracted Typhoid Fever, that effected her heart, causing a blood clot which resulted in her death.
- Her younger brother, Jesse, also contracted Typhoid Fever also, but survived.
- In the 1906, family photograph, he is shown sitting ,lowest, in front.
He had lost his hair, but it did return later.
