Wow, what a wonderful WikiTree-ing weekend! Another successful marathon has come and gone. Thank you to everyone who participated in our 2020 Spring Clean-a-Thon.  It’s one of our favorite things when the community comes together and works hard on bettering our tree!

This year we cleared 158,784 suggestions in 72 hours! Quite an accomplishment. We beat last year’s total of 132,554 and the all-time record of 152, 253 set in 2018.  That makes this our most productive Clean-a-Thon yet.

  1. Awesome work and kudos to all. I would suggest a tab in gender that states ‘ newborn without gender’ for profiles that list this rather than green face.
    Much time spent sourcing/adding bio to empty profiles. Can’t count this against quick changes that add up quickly.

  2. Life is too short to worry about whether location is shown as England UK or just ENGLAND. Or pointing out when the states became united.If all this effort was put into real research or transcription or source verification it would be so much more useful. Go into profiles and develop them people rather than just picking at locations.

  3. To all of you….my appreciation ! I no longer have the ability and mindset to assist in any genealogical tasks, but I recognize your efforts. Abundant blessings ~

  4. My favorite thing about the Clean A Thon is how many profiles get attention that haven’t been touched since being uploaded as many as 9 years ago! It all leads to making more connections and better genealogy. Yay WikiTree!
