GEDCompare, How does a person get my immediate family living information?

I am new to WikiTree and I am puzzled how a member can get my GEDCompare info that I haven't entered yet and it is appearing on another tree. The info is my immediate family, ex, children, and grandchildren with names, date and birth locations? All living! There is no connection with this person who has set up a tree with their names!

Should point out that once a profile is entered into WikiTree -- excepting the personal profile of the PM -- it is no longer "mine" or "my", it becomes "ours" (belongs to WikiTree) ... managed, yes, by a PM but no longer "owned" no matter what their relationship is

If there are profiles currently on wikitree, go to their profile.  On that page, it will allow you to send the PM a message, as well as to ask to be on their 'trusted list'.  To leave a message asking to be on the Trusted List, you should state how you are related to that person.  If they don't respond, then you would have to follow the  Unresponsive Profile Manager process.  If you have to file that form, make sure that you state on that form that you are a relative of profiles that the PM has that are living persons.  Otherwise, those could be deleted, BUT let's hope that the PM responds and adds you to their Trusted List on that page.  Depending on how close the relationship, you also might want to be a co-manager of that profile because Trusted List members do not receive all messages that the PM receives for profiles.

I'm puzzled now, if they are LIVING how could she or anyone else SEE them even their name if she's not already on the trusted list for those profiles?
Susan, good question! I was wondering exactly the same thing.
If you do a search, you can sometimes find a living person or locked profile, but you can't see anything. Also, if you are in a profile that is not locked, you can see 'living' people indicated as siblings and children.  Therefore, if those are your 'close' family members, you would know who they are without seeing their names.

No one can see your Gedcom. That's your private file.

However, there is a lot of public information available on the internet that very easy to see.

And whoever entered the info, may be closely related to you. You should send them a message directly and say "Hi!" and ask them some questions about how you might be related.
