Use of Stage Name in a profile

Question

I came across the profile of Emil Gorski. His "stage name" was Ross Gordon. Could someone please look at his profile and tell me if his names are listed properly? I am not sure if an error will be created since his Find A Grave listing uses his stage name (as does his wife's).

What I do is to put the full stage name in the Other Nickname(s) field, as I did with actor Vince Edwards:

This method may not follow our naming guidelines, but I believe we get a better - or at least, more useful - name display with this method.

As many a fellow WikiTreer has mentioned on G2G, our name fields are woefully inadequate.

Don't worry about any suggestions that may occur; you can just mark them false (again, maybe not per our guidelines, but gets the job done).

Elsie was born Hodder, then married John Bullough, so she appears as Elsie (Hodder) Bullough.  Her stage name was 'Lily Elsie' so, in order not to squish all her names together, I put 'Lily Elsie' as an a.k.a.

I think if he officially changed his name (doesn't appear to be the case here), I'd put it in his current Last Name field. But other than that, I'd agree with how it's set up.

I also took a glance and it doesn't appear there's enough information on him on the internet to put a Notables Sticker on him (yet). But that doesn't mean that something could be put together for him and proposed in the future. Looks like he was a local radio personality, so typically that wouldn't carry enough for Notability unless he did something on the national stage.

Thanks Scott, according to the "Social Security Death Index" source, he did officially change his name. But I don't know that it being the name using in the SSDI is enough to prove that.
