Asked to confirm email . . . done and still problem

I am working on https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Abt-94 and trying to add her 2nd spouse,  I got a big yellow top border saying "Your e-mail address has not been confirmed. You will not be able to edit, post, or send messages until it is. Is [correct address] correct? If not please change it and then request a new confirmation message. If your e-mail address is correct but you didn't receive a confirmation message, click here. We apologize for the inconvenience. This is to prevent spammers from harassing our community members.

I sent myself the message, opened it and thought I followed instructions (it simply took me to my Nav Home), but still getting the message.  What is happening?

Thanks for help!

Flags here don't make any sense.  I hope they will be removed.
This may be a case of someone thinking the flag here is the same as a thumb's up/approval somewhere else.
Maybe flagging should be explained in the message to newbies, as this seem to be happening more and more.
i have the problem.. makes the Wikitree X extension useless for the moment.
