Gaming the family tree

Question

I stumbled across this blog post this morning describing a game you can play with your family tree. Of course, this blogger takes a more fantastical approach (I just cannot see turning great grandma big mama into a vampire), but with some modifications, you could use this to teach children about their heritage. Thoughts?

It does look like fun. I'm a gamer, so would like to use this with my tabletop games, but can definitely see the educational benefit, as well.
