Pvt. George W Rouse Company G & D, 12th Regiment, Connecticut Infantry.U.S. Civil War help needed

Question

Private George W. Rouse born about 1841 in Voluntown, New London Connecticut. We don’t have many sources; however we have his national park service record and some info. We need help connecting him to the Wikitree family. Any help in finding his parental lineage would be appreciated. Possibly married a Hattie Maynard, but need a pension or record showing relationship?

Thank you Chris  I am updating his profile with many of the sources you cited definitely shows Voluntown in the 1860 census which gives us the family names which matches the 1950 census. I wish his gravestone said something about his civil war service. Maybe an obituary?
