Wiki won't allow a merge between 2 know same persons [closed]

Question

Another member asked me for help as her Benton 1425 and my Benton 1282 are one and the same however Wiki won't allow a merge and says they are not in the wiki system. I double checked and found both are indeed in the system as well as a third members who has both merged in his profile. by these numbers. I watched the "merge" tutorial and did not find the help I needed to create the merge for us.

BTW.when I entered the WikiTree id's 1425/1282 it would not send and popup said that "WikiTree ID does not exist (1282)" When I go to my tree and pass the cursor over Fereby Benton it says 1282.Appreciat what y'all do as volunteers .

If you copy/paste from the profile #  it will work.

WikiTree is very senstitive to spaces, hyphens, spelling,etc. 

I entered Benton-1425 and Benton-1282 into 

http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Special:MergePerson

And they both turned up nicely. 

 

The number 1425/1282 is not recognized by WikiTree.
