I've tested at 23andme and uploaded to gedmatch (M566557).

My line: Me -> Autry Bender -> Margaret (Bender) Pulse -> John and Christina (Lindemann) Bender -> Jacob and Catherine (Nagel) Bender -> Johannes and Christina (Mauch) Bender

I am descended from George Bender/Christine Bender and John Bender/Camilla and Ada Bender.  I have already taken the DNA test and the results are avialable on Ancestry.com.

Upload the 67 marker resutls to YSearch.org and enter that YSearch ID on the tester's DNA Tests page.

This willl allow comparison with other Bender direct paternal line descendants.  Y-DNA testing is the easiest and best way to confirm direct male (paternal / Bender) line ancestry.  Autosomal DNA testing (such as AncestryDNA, 23andMe, or Family Finder) are very difficult to use if you are mainly interested in direct paternal line ancestry (which the surname - such as Bender - usually follows.

My cousin, Scott Bender, has a Y-37 marker test on FTDNA.  We also have an Ancestry DNA test for him. I have only been able to trace our Bender line back to Fred Bender, born 1863 somewhere in Germany (possibly Württemberg):

I am descended from Peter Bender, of Lauterecken, near Saarbrucken. His daughter Margurite married my ancestor Hector Fey in the early 1600s. My Ancestry.com DNA has been uploaded.
