Reverend Pvt. Edwin G. Babcock (1838 - 1920) 34th Massachusetts, Company I, Wounded in War, POW

Question

Reverend Private Edwin G. Babcock was born August 10, 1838 in North Brookfield, Worcester, Massachusetts. The son of Julius Babcock and Miriam Moulton. He married Caroline Elliot Gifford June 25, 1872. Edwin died  October 21, 1920 in Westport, Bristol, Massachusetts. We need help finding his enlistment date and muster out date. He was wounded in left leg (lost his left foot in the war see sources cited in this g2g discussion); also was a POW! He became a Methodist minister after the war. I wonder if we can add POW sticker? I would think he qualifies?

I believe this is him. No other Babcock in this unit regiment on the NPS. It matches being a POW and being wounded! Excellent!!

The big hint also is only 1 Babcock listed in the 34th Mass. on National Park Service so easier to find his info

Wo enlistment dates not sure which on to use yet  put in the earlier date for now July 5th 1862. There is also July 13th, 1862
