Has anyone done work on the Jones surname in Virginia in the late 18th century?

My gr-gr-gr-grandfather is John H. Jones, who is listed in several Census records as having been born in Virginia in 1806.  He married Elizabeth Ballou of Massachusetts in Pennsylvania in 1828, and they had several children, including my gr-gr-grandfather, A.B. (Amariah Ballou) Jones.  There were several different Jones families in Virginia in the late 18th century.  Unfortunately, I don't have any other names for John H.'s family (parents or siblings).

Has anyone done research on the Jones surname in Virginia in the late 18th century/early 19th century?

Thanks!

you might contact this person and see if they can help. They are related to you. http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/t/a/y/Noreena-K-Taylor/PDFGENE1.pdf
Thanks Lindsay!  I did take a look at your Jones profiles earlier, but I didn't see any that looked like my John H.

I have been in touch with Noreena Taylor on another board.  We are related through A.B. Jones.
