My grandmother Margaret Sanders (Munday) 1936-2001 was born in Leicester England and passed away in 2001 in Ohio U.S.A. I am trying to find out her geneology. The story I was told was my Great Grandfather Frederick Munday 1894-1950 was from an upper class and inpregnated my Great Grandmother Jessica Munday (Thornhill) B. 1898 who was of low class. He did the right thing and married her. He was disowned by the Munday Family. I can not find any history of the Munday Family in Leicester England. I have a few leads from another website but nothing concrete. Can anyone please help me or at least point me in the right direction

He was probably the Frederick Charles Munday registered at Melton Mowbray 4th qtr 1892, mother Stevens.  Married Jessica in 1921.

1939 Register might be worth a look.

There were several Munday-Stevens marriages, none of them local.  So you need names.  Try 1901 and 1911 censuses.
I just got off the phone with my grandfather. He said grandma never spoke about her family. I got names for her brothers and sister but that was it.

Just found Frederick C and Jessie V on https://www.findmypast.co.uk in the 1939 register where their surname has been mistranscribed as Muday. They were living at 20 Hockley Farm Road, Leicester.
Walter's birth is Luton, Bedfordshire as in the 1901 census and his birth registration in 1858.
Note: I checked image of 1911 census above on Ancestry occupation: leather tanner (not tonner). The father was a general labourer (born Luton)
Fred and Jessica did live on Hockley Farm road when I was born 1950 I went to live there with my parents and auntie Margaret was living there as well. Liz

The birthplace of Stapleford is a village near Melton Mowbray. Stapleford Park was a wildlife park at the end of 20th Century. There was a big house there as I remeber. I was brought up in Melton Mowbray and have connections with the Stevens family in that area, though I see that Annie Stevens came from Buckinghamshire
