Confirm ancestor Mary Ann Walsh

My mother's 6th grandmother is Mary Ann Walsh and searches on other genealogy sites have confirmed this. She is shown as born 1770, died 12 Aug. 1807. Married to James Walsh, mother Sarah Simpson. I found in my research that this ancestor is also the 6th grandmother of the singer Hayley Westenra. Mary Ann married Warner William Westenra, 2nd Baron Rossmore in 1791. https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Walsh-5489

I'm not certain that Mary Ann Walsh is my mother's ancestor. Her line is shown as Ellen Fogarty (daughter) - Mary Bergin - Margaret Hoppy - Sarah Mary Ann Gordon - Flora Jean Coombe. Did she in fact marry into royalty?

Look forward to any enlightenment.

Many thanks, Rich

Hi Rich, as you work on your mother’s line, working upwards and adding appropriate sources as you go, you may well find it to be true. Familysearch.org is a good free site.

Yes I have used Family Search as well as My Heritage and Geni etc. Mary Ann was supposedly married twice before her marriage to Westenra. There is no mention of her previous children before this though, being a commoner I suppose that would be right. It is confusing to unravel with any certainty though quite possible. Confirmation would be great. Cheers
Ok, so who is the earliest ancestor of your mother that you have sources for, and do you have a profile id, or info  so we can start searching, thanks?

Have added female line back to Mary Anne Walsh (Walsh-5489). Daughter Ellen Walsh was born 1791, the same year that Mary married Warner 03 Oct. 1791. Her name appears in Complete peerage of England, Scotland, Ireland, Great Britain and the United Kingdom as Marianne.

Added her parents as well
