There is an answer here for you, I believe.

Read the section in the Help Section labeled Unresponsive Profile Managers

basically, if you can't get a hold of someone, and the WikiTree Staff can't get a hold of them either..the profile will be made "adoptable".

What profile managers have you contacted?  Have you asked to be on their trusted list or use the comment section on the profile page to add your comments for the profile manager to see.?

Another thing to consider is that the email address you gave them may not have been accurate or their spam program may have caught your reply.   Try again, maybe with a different addy and see what happens. This has happened several times to me  Also I would be intersted in the Gauthier/Howard  liine as I am descended from Gaithers and that is a common variant. My first cousin is descended from Howards so there is a higher chance of something useful.  I am from the Jamestown, VA to Gaithersburg,  MD to Elizabethton, KY Gaithers.
