Conflicting info re merges on wikitree

I tried to do a merge of two Lehmans & was told that merge had already been proposed.  Then I asked Wikitree to show me all pending mergers for Lehman and was told the Lehman list was empty!

Why am I getting conflicting info? (in re Lehman-221_and_Lehman-227)

I think there's a glitch in the system. I don't get anything when I ask for all the last names in pending merges either.

Tech are you listening?  From the main Pending Merges page, put a surname in the box, - bruster or lehman or white - you get "This list is empty Yay"  All these names have pending merges.
Have you made sure the right lines are checked above the list? There are two options, All pending merges & Pending merges initiated by me. If you don't click on All pending merges you will only get the ones you have proposed. Caught me a couple of times on this.
You are absolutely correct Shirley, it worked once I clicked on all pending merges. Ive been assuming the default open page was all pending merges, and it does not work from there.

Thank you

It's done.  You proposed it, one of the PMs did it almost straight away.  The last part of the Sources is new.

If it said it was already proposed, it must have got the request twice.

Isn't it great to have PM's on top of things like this!  Mags

Pat, I think it's because you are not on the profile managers list is why it doesn't show as a pending merge for you. I don't think clicking "all pending merges" is any help, as the ones that show up are ones that have gone into default status and need someone to physically merge them.

Not quite right. "All pending merges" will show all merges that have been proposed across WikiTree. Those that have gone into default status or been approved by both profile managers will show on the "All pending merges waiting for action."

I stand corrected, Shirley Dalton :)  For some reason it won't let me reply to your post, it keeps telling me I have to log in or register... even though I am already logged in.

~ Apparently, I had to log out and log back in. It even posted me as anon, though I kept saying I was logged in.

Yeah I'm having strange login troubles today too
