How to reconcile different records for a wife.

I have found different site (Ancestry, Myheritage, FamilySearch)  have a confusion of the wife/mother from the 1770s  there are no civil records to reconcile this issue.

Does anyone have a suggestion?

Thomas Dawson Jr. Dawson-2618 is the husband in question.   I have found Elizabeth Bridges and Jane Wright as the Wife/mother     I suspect Elizabeth Bridges because records show her to be a daughter of of Nobility in England but has married a man who moved to Indiana in the late 1790s or early 1800s.  Not a something a man of means did in those days.

On familysearch.org alone there are numerous men of that name, born around that time , who ended up in Indiana.

If you think you are related your best bet is to start adding your parents, then their parents, and then on up the tree, until you reach this person (or one like him).
