Details of runic reid born on ss runic on way to australia.

Question

I'd like to get in touch with my relatives in Australia, if any still survive. My great granny Pringle (maiden name Reid) had brothers and sisters I believe, who emigrated the day after her wedding on the s.s.runic bound for Australia. a boy was born, and had I was told six fingers on his hands, and was named after the ship. I believe part of the family  lived eventually in a house in kuringai national park.

Hi, have just come across this message and I am searching for my mums grandmothers family from Scotland. My great grandmother left Scotland on the SS Runic in around 1910/1911 and we think that she had a son whilst on the ship to Australia. His name here was James Runic Reid and her name was Janet Walker Reid. Was just wondering if this was the relative that your were searching for

'anonymous' wasn't logged in and you missed them by nearly a decade so it's very unlikely they'll see your message. However, despite the matching points Janet was not married so she can't be Mrs Pringle. She also seems to have lived in Queensland and wiki tells me that Ku-Ring-Gai is in NSW.
