Bit confused about how to load results of Genetic Ancestry testing report I did a few years ago? Can someone guide me?

Conducted by Division of Human genetics of National health Laboratory in Johannesburg it has given me MtDNA HVR1 variation and HVR11

Also MtDNA haplogroup

Y chromosome haplogroup

Also STR profile with 10 markers , profile and range

First question when loading DNA test stumps me ie which test am I loading?

Hi David,

Welcome to WikiTree! Since the test that you took is not listed, you can use the "Other mtDNA" and "Other yDNA" test options respectively to add the mtDNA and yDNA info that you received as a result of your test.

Any info that you'd like to add for which there's not a specific field on those test options can be entered in the free space comment box for the particular test.

Hello David,

Please register at mitoYDNA.org and add your 10 marker Y-STR results there, then enter your mitoYDNA ID on your DNA tests page at https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Special:DNATests. Doing so will automatically associate your Y haplotype with your direct paternal line.   

 In the near future you will be able to manually upload your mtDNA results to mitoYDNA.org and then you can add your mitoYDNA ID to your DNA Tests page.
