I’m looking for birth records that will prove that the parentage of a person. There were census but they were the “how many people under the age of” census.

I’ve tried Family Search, the book about Wolston Brockway, google search, all of the free sites and cant find her. I know she existed but I can’t find any proof. I don’t need another brick wall.

Where’s your go to place when your stuck like this?

Unfortunately, there is little chance you'll be able to find a birth record for a ~1804 birth, especially in early America. Some places did them, some didn't. I would reach out to the towns in the area, as well as the churches in those towns. If they have any records there, they will likely do a search for her birth record, however, it is very likely that it does not exist.

Also, how do you know she existed if there's no proof?

My cousin has been into geology for years. Unfortunately she’s suffered a couple of strokes and lives out of town. She has a room in her second story home but can’t get up due to her health problems.

She had previously given out all of the names and dates but none of the other paperwork. Once she feels better I want to go up there and start scanning in all of her stuff. That way she won’t be the only one with the paperwork. And it’s that paperwork, binders of it. I’d love to have it all on paper but the room that I have wouldn’t hold it lol

So I know the family is there, it’s just finding something with the proof.
She married John Freemore.

Perhaps a death record for Caroline Freemore that lists parents ?
I have him on my ancestry tree as well, nothing with her married name and her parents name either. I looked under her father and mothers name as well.

It’s making me nuts, I don’t want to put it under unsourced lol

By 1836, John had a new wife, Mary

There was a record saying that her father was part of the church but not her. I may just have to leave her unsourced and go up the tree.
