CHRISTIAN JOHANNES MüLLER - SOUTH AFRICA- A BRICKWALL

Question

My Muller Ancestor nightmare starts before 1862. Jan Johannes (Jacobus)
Muller, my wives great grandfather was born in 1862. We have 3 photos
from his brother with the following info written at the back:

1. H Müller Brother
2  Broer (Brother)
3. K(C)arel Andreas Müller

Apparently their was a sister as well - Louisa Catharina, named after
her mum.         

There was a story running in the family that Jan's mum died while he was
a small boy (1865 -1875) and that he grew up with Bekker people. There
is no info in the archives about Christiaan Johannes Müller or his wife
- Louisa Catharina (unknown surname).

I have searched the archives with more than 30 different spellings of
the name Louisa  and about the same for Catharina - (not a joke. ) and found exactly nothing. The same with Christian and Karl Andreas.

WELL MY GRANDMOTHER IS LOUISA ROSE MULLER AND I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM AS THERE IS NO INFO AND SHE IS LISTED IN 2 TREES VAN DER MERWE AND SWANEPOEL AND WE ONLY HAVE 1920 BUT I WILL TRY AND GET HOLD OF MY AUNT AND SEE WHAT SHE REMEMBER SHE IS ONLY IN HER 50S
