Is the father of Florence Welsher and husband of Susan Dare more correctly John EDWARD Dare and not John Emmanuel Dare?

Question

I am trying to establish the correct husband of Susan Dare (nee Gunter). The Wiki tree and family search trees name him as John Emmanuel Dare who appears to have a son of exactly the same name. He was born in Bridgewater Somerset whereas I believe the husband to be John EDWARD Dare born in Newport in 1858. Marriage and family life all centred around Newport and the age of John Edward more correctly matches that of Susan Dare. Am I wrong?
