1. Can I use the Richards family tree as a source?
I am still adding members of the Richards family to WikiTree.
Charles Richards (Richards 13904) is my 2 X great grandfather, Charles Richards was the founder of Imperial Bolt and Nut Works, Darlaston, Staffordshire, England. The company was Britain's largest manufacturer of steel nuts and bolts.
For the centennial of the company's founding, a family tree was commissioned, to include all descendants of Charles Richards. The family history was researched by DeBrett's of London, England. https://debrettancestry.co.uk/about-us/#sources
Almost all the information was provided by living members of the very large and family history obsessed Richards family, sources were provided by DeBrett's.
At the May 1975 centennial celebrations, the tree was displayed for all visitors to see, and was photographed and published by several local newspapers.
Since that time a group of Richards descendants have continued to research the family history, the information shown on the tree is accurate. The family lived in Wednesbury, Staffordshire from approx. 1665 and many descendants still live in the area to the present day.
The group have traced the family history back to Stephen Richards (son of George Richards and Ann) baptized 26 December 1679 at St Bartholomew, Wednesbury, Staffordshire. The records of St Bartholomew are intact from 1569 to 1812.
2. if I can use it as a source, can I upload a photo of this tree? The tree includes people who are still living, but don't have last names on the tree. It is 7.4 mb
Most of this family's history is in the public domain. For further information on the family business. http://www.historywebsite.co.uk/articles/Darlaston/Richards.htm
