Searching the 1911 census for my family I came accross Charlie Bateman b 1900 Chichester, Annie Bateman b 1906 Chichester, Samul Bateman b 1908 Chichester and James Fredrick Bateman b 1910 Chichester. They are all listed as boarders living with James Fredrick and Annie Mable Turner.

Can anyone help me in finding out the parents of the Bateman children?

the freeBMD site shows a possible 1898 marriage between Eliza Turner.

Id this is correct, there is an 1881 census reord for Eliza Turner born in Burlsem, Staffordshire.  And there is a 1911 census record for an Eliza Bateman born and living in the same place.

These might be somewhere to start.

I am not sure this would be the right one as all the family were from slindon, bognor and chichester. Thank you though

www.freeBMD.org.uk  has the births listed. The website will tell you how to order a copy of the records.
