Per 1700 Thomas Tipton profile needs work.

Question

In my research, I came across this profile of my direct ancestor. Thomas Tipton. He was born before 1700 so I hesitate to make anymore changes. Is it ok to continue making changes? I see all kinds of cautions on Wikitree about pre-1700 profiles. But, I see a lot wrong with this one. He could not have signed anything in 1776. He was dead by then. I did add The category where he was born.

Nancy, I think you're right. I added the Maryland tag, and then saw that the profile says he died in Virginia, so I'll add that one too.

Looking at the listed sources, none look to be "reliable" (the last two looked promising, but http://collectornuts.com/tipton.pdf doesn't appear to include sources for Thomas - & it's the source for him signing the oath... Firefox gave me a security warning after I added https:// to www.coloneljohntipton.com/coljohn/ so I didn't look at it).

The pdf says

All Thomas's children are recorded in the Vestry records of St. Paul's Parish in Baltimore Maryland. Vol.1. P.49
