This is a possible answer but I have no other family menbers were were not in blackburn in this time period. I have added the information to my data but search for some other connection to Leigh that would confirm the connection to my family. A daughter Margaret to a John and Margaret Hesketh bore a son William Hesketh (as the son of an unmarried woman he took his mother's surname. Margaret later married the father and had additional children with the family name Wilding. The son William is my great grandfather who named his oldest son (my grandfather) Sylvester. Sylvester went to America (circa 1894) and his wife and three children joined him a year later. William is also found in America in the early part of the 20th century but a 1906 city directory indicates "returned to England" Family tradition holds that he died in England (I could never confirm it) in the 1950's aged more than 100 years.
