New York Strong

As of this morning, there are 51 unconnected branches or notables listed in the New York section of the Let others know what locations you are working on page.

Yes, New York is highly populated, and, yes, finding sources in New York is harder than it is in some jurisdictions. But that's more unconnected branches than we have listed for many countries!

Do you heartNY? Show New York (and New Yorkers) some love by seeing if you can connect any of those branches to the main tree.

Dear Greg,

I'm adding some sources for the DUBBEN family who are on the NY list.  Henry W. Dubben-17, his wife Mary, and at least some of their children came to New York from England, probably in the 1880s.  Maybe I'll get luck with marrying one of the children off to an attached family!  -NGP

Thank you, Nanette!

My focus is the surnames Gibbs, Barrett, Babcock, Race, Lang, Trombly, and Green plus many others

Thank you, Andrew. I'll have to check that out, since I have a stubborn notable (born in New York) who refuses to get connected.

I've got a small pack of NY notable rockstars who I haven't been able to connect.

Joey Ramone (The Ramones):

Johnny Ramone (The Ramones):

Johnny Thunders (New York Dolls; Heartbreakers):

Jerry Nolan (New York Dolls; Heartbreakers):

David Johansen, also of the New York Dolls, is connected via his ex-wife, but his profile is private anyway. I'm also trying hard to connect Paul Stanley of KISS via his ex-wife, but not much luck so far.
