Nancy's father is buried in Ozark County Mo according to family but nothing on her parents names. His grave is unmarked unless its by a field stone.

Re: Mo 1880 census father born Tenn Mother Ind where can I find info?  Do you have a link to 1880 census? It's not on the profile...

BLM Land records in MO show several Capps - the grants dated prior to Nancy's birthdate in MO (if it is accurate) would probably be relevant. If family lore says he was buried Ozark, perhaps he owned a patent in Ozark or a neighboring county. The 1880 census could also give an indicator of the area to start investigating.

Other research might include siblings, marriage records that name parents, etc. Need more info though.

This may be a good lead, james Caps/capps, b MO, but wife Nancy Capps b IN.  It is on 1860 Ozark Co, Census, so Nancy M Capps wouldn't be listed
