Looks to me that Gray-4819 and Gray 27587 could be the same individual?

Actually, I think it's 4819 and 27588.  Both married to Hannah Godfrey, same parents . . . Birthdates & birthplaces don't match, that should be looked at before merging.
YES! you're right.  It was Gray-27588 I meant.  I'll see if I can find some background and source on the birthdate and birthplace. - Frank

I do think the birthdate of Gray-27588 was wrong (same as Hannah godfrey)  and most likely his birth year is 1704. I looked at the TIverton, Rhode Island, vital records, 1639-1899 (https://www.ancestry.com/interactive/3897/41384_2421406273_0007-00680?pid=90843&)

Grays are on pages 654-658. There doesn't seem to be a mention of Edwards birth in 1704 or of his parents Edward Gray and Melatiah Lewis.

The the following  I think would be evidence that even though I believe Gray-4819 and Gray-27588 are the same person and the later has more accurate information are the following links...

https://www.ancestry.com/interactive/61157/46155_b290310-00069?pid=2994954

https://www.ancestry.com/interactive/2495/40400_274549-00208?pid=46723725

https://www.ancestry.com/interactive/2495/40168_266242__0006-00077?pid=75402410 - their intention to marry

and the previous generation is in Barnstable, Massachusetts as well as the the off springs of Edward and Hanna.
