Border Region: Scotland/England

For those researching the Border region of Scotland and England, you might enjoy this article from BBC Travel online magazine, which has great pictures and information, albeit not genealogy per se:

"The tiny 'country' between England and Scotland"

Hope you enjoy!

Great little article. All my Scottish ancestors come from there...and there’s even an Armstrong.
Glad that you enjoyed it, Fiona! I imagine that my Little ancestors were Borderers before moving across the water to County Down, Ireland before 1750 and there may be others too, but not any Armstrong family members that I know about (yet).
Thank you. I also recommend Grahame Robb's book The Debatable Land, referenced in this article. It does get quite dense in places, though.
most welcome! I've not read Robb's book (published 2018) but may have to see if it's in my library (when it opens again).
