I'm trying to find the correct Ephraim and his birth date. I can pretty solidly trace back to John Robins/Robbins Lemon [[Lemon-289|John R. Lemon]] (born 1822) through sources, family history, and DNA. From my great aunt's research, his parents were Ephraim and Hannah (Robins) Lemon/Leming/Liming. I cannot find sources to confirm that they were his parents, but I'm fairly certain about [[Robins-2028|Hannah Robins]] because of his middle name. Hannah Robins married Ephraim in 29 Jan 1817 in Monmouth County, New Jersey. But in the 1850 Census for Monmouth County, NJ, her age estimate would have her born in 1808. Which would make her 9 years old at her marriage. Similarly, the Ephraim listed as her husband in 1850 was listed as 46 yrs (b. 1804), which would make him 13 at the time of his marriage. Those birth years are likely wrong. So if I estimate their birth years as ~1799-1800, it would make them 17-18 years old at their marriage. I can't find sources for their birth dates.
There is a Ephraim Joel Liming [[Liming-274|Ephraim Joel Liming]] who seems to be the Ephraim I'm looking for. Though I've never found any evidence that his middle name was Joel. There was an Ephraim J. Liming, but no source says Joel (that I've found). I did make a profile for Ephraim Lemon [[Lemon-1473|Ephraim Lemon]] before finding Ephraim Joel Liming. If they are the same ones, then I'll merge them.
Ephraim J's father seems to be also named Ephraim. [[Liming-242|Ephraim Liming]] His birth year was estimated at 1782, which would make him 18-ish at the time of son Ephraim's birth. But elder Ephraim's marriage to [[Foster-13973|Phoebe Foster]] was estimated to be 1803. (Side note: I also seem to be related to Phoebe's brother William Foster.) I'm not sure if there is a source for the marriage date.
There are also other Ephraim Leming/Liming/Lemons in New Jersey, but the ones in my lineage seem to be mostly in Monmouth and Mercer counties.
My head is spinning with Ephraims! Any help and new eyes would be very much appreciated!
