I was wondering if the Fountano family in south Texas is related to the Fontenot family of Louisiana/Texas?

I did an autosomal DNA Test on ancestry.com and one of my matches has the Sanchez and Gillory family tree in it, so the person who was in my match is related to me through DNA and ancestry estimated it to be a 5th to 8th cousin. On that tree on the mothers side is many Fontenot sirnames going all the way back to the early 1800/1700s in St. Landry/ Ville Platte, and Opelouses, Louisiana. names such as Henry Fontenot, Henri, Louis Fontenot, The maternal grandmother was an Ele or Elsa Fontenot b. 1912 in Opelouses, Louisiana she had a mother last name of Soleau which also was related to Fontenot's. I am wondering if there is some kind of connection to our Fountano family.

By the way my great great grandfather is Joe Fountano born in Louisiana between 1816 and 1820.

If you would provide your father's name, I might know the answer to this.  I know the Fontenot name was changed to Fountano by some in the Fontenot family.  I might recognize a name if you would like to provide the name of your father or grandfather.  I will simply tell you if this family lived in south Texas or not.  Some families who changed the last name had reasons for doing so and I respect that.

You asked my for my fathers name. My father is name Johnny Fountano sr. from San Antonio, Texas b. 1940. My grandfather is William Paul Fountano from Houston, Texas b. 1916. My great grandfather is William Henry Fountano b. Stockdale, Texas b. 1877. My g. great grandfather is Joe Fountano (may have originally been Fonteneau, Fonteneaux, or Fontenot, not sure). b. Louisiana in 1820.  That is as far as I got. My DNA was Native American on the fathers line (Y chromosome). My autosomal was between 1-3% Native American 78% subsaharan African, some British Isle, Scandanavean, and western European. My dads full brother (Bill Fountano) was 10% Native American and Asian/Siberian, 78% subsaharan African, western and eastern European, Iberian, with trace British isle and Irish.
