This photo intrigues me. Adam Magee was a Railwayman who worked for County Down Railways (CDR). He was also a pigeon fancier. Years ago, one of my great uncles told my dad that Adam was holding a pigeon in this photo. I'm not sure. Also, I would love to know what he has tucked into his waistcoat just under his scarf. I think it looks like a small animal/bird, but I could be wrong. The lettering on his hat is almost readable when magnified, but thus far, I have not been able to decipher it. I think he is wearing a railway uniform, but again, not sure. It is a strange photo, and the only one I possess of my great great grandfather. If anyone in the community can help decipher the content in this photo, I would be very grateful and interested to hear your thoughts on this. I appreciate that the photo is very grainy due to its age.
I wanted to share this family photo of Adam Magee with the community. Location: unknown Date: unknown.
