To make profiles for people born before 1700, you will have to take a test to be certified that you can source each person with appropriate documents and to enter people born before 1500, another test, much harder, and Admin will look at your previous work

I started it a while back and have a couple of pictures on their of family.  Do you know if there is a way I can transfer my 400 or so documents from Ancestry. com.  Also need to find out how much this costs for a tree.  My grandmother was not counted in her tree and was upset about it..as a kid I started putting it together..letters, etc. I'm spread out in files and on Ancestry.com Have my DNA there.
Thanks for this ..I have some on the ships. with my Grandfathers names but have problems seeing which ship they owned. like the Rose.  I will stop bothering you but just wondered if you have "The Gosse Family Bible" by Eldred Gosse"  ..I have that info...also Morgan Frances's will. an amazing document.
Sources on profiles are documents which can be found on various cites like Ancestry and familysearch and findmypast

"trees" on various sites and find a grave are not sources

if you have paper documents and don't want to look for sources online, scan the documents into your computer and upload the images to the profile they belong to

just saying in the bio that you have the documents laying on your desk is NOT good

And know that any profile you create born more than 150 years ago or died 100 years ago, can be edited and changed by other wikitree members
Thank you again.  I'm most concerned about the documents I saved on Ancestry...I'll figure that out.  I saved proofs for everything.  I'll print out what you gave me..add it to my huge notebooks...   I want to go back and give you stars or whatever for your help.  This site is new to me.

I hope you and yours stay safe through everything we are going through these days.   Warm regards,  Marjorie

you can transfer your ancestry tree via a gedcom

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:GEDCOM

and again anyone born before 1700 will not gedcom transfer

WIKITREE is totally free but a lot of hard work !! surprise

Where can I get a copy of the book "The Settling of Spaniard's Bay"?  Is it available for sale in the community?   I am looking for Adams's and Drovers from that area and would love to have a copy!
