I have information to contribute to the profile of Anna Barbara (Greiner) Stenger

This profile has no sources yet.

This is what I can add:

  • death : 29 March 1709 at ,, Bas-Rhin, Rosteig,,
  • wedding : 21 August 1652 at Deutschland, Baden-Württemberg,, Kirchenkirnberg,,

These are the sources I am using:

Should I contact one of the pre-1700 projects or know about any style guidelines before proceeding? Thank you!

Hi Loic,

User-contributed content such as family trees, are not adequate sources for pre-1700 profiles, see the related Germany Project Reliable Sources and France Project Reliable Sources pages for details. Since this pre-1700 profile was created without sources, I'd suggest including the Geneanet family tree that you mentioned in a See Also section of the profile, as it can provide hints for finding actual sources.

For example, the death place appears to be Rosteig in Alsace (now Bas-Rhin). The Rosteig entry in the Bas-Rhin archives indicates that for protestant parishes there before 1793, records can be found in other communes/towns: "see La Petite-Pierre, Waldhambach, Wimmenau and Volksberg".

This record from Waldhambach in the Bas-Rhin archives appears to contain the burial record of Anna Barbara, widow of Matthias Stenger, who died 29 Mar 1709 at age 77 and was buried in April in Roßteig:

"Registres paroissiaux et documents d'état civil," images, des Archives départementales du Bas-Rhin (link : accessed 23 May 2020), Lieu: ALSACE > BAS-RHIN > SAVERNE (arrondissement) > DRULINGEN (canton) > WALDHAMBACH, Périodes: 17e siècle; 18e siècle; image 158 of 183; Etat des fonds des Archives départementales du Bas-Rhin > Waldhambach - Registres Paroissiaux (Avant 1793) - Paroisse protestante (Avant 1793) - Registre de baptêmes mariages sépultures 1683-1720 - 3 E 514/1.

Thanks Rick for your answer and having found the record source. I added it directly in the profile, though I am not it's manager.
